Jewellery Repairs
Our main workshop is based in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham where we carry out jewellery repairs to an extremely high standard. From a simple chain solder or sizing a ring, to complete re-modelling of your jewellery or replacement of a lost gemstone, we have access to the finest craftsmen and suppliers. There is usually no charge for estimates, and most repairs take around two weeks.

Jewellery Cleaning
Your diamond and gold jewellery could always benefit from a freshen up in our ultrasonic cleaner. Most items of jewellery can be cleaned whilst you are shopping in the town. No charge is made for this service. Where gold needs to be re-polished or rhodium plated we can send this to our workshop.

Watch Repairs
We use a very reputable trade watchmaker based in Scotland for all our watch repairs. They are watchmakers for some of the finest jewellers in the country and are authorised Rolex watch repairers. We are able to handle almost all makes of watches and offer a twelve month guarantee with all full-services. Swatch Group watches (Omega, Longines, Tissot, Rado & Swatch) can be returned to Swatch Group if requested for servicing.

Watch Battery Fitting & Watch Straps
We are able to fit batteries to most makes of watch on the premises. Leave your watch with us whilst you are shopping in the town and it will usually be ready when you have finished. Watches that we are unable to process on the premises, or those requiring a water-resistancy test are sent to our watchmaker. We also keep a large selection of Hirsch watch straps and can obtain others to order.

Valuations
We use the professional services of a local National Association of Goldsmiths Registered Valuer for all valuations for insurance and probate. NAG registered valuers are recognised by all insurance companies. Full details of your jewellery are recorded, photographs taken (for insurance valuations) and the valuation is presented in a binder with a copy for you insurance company.

Engraving
We have a very experience hand engraver based in Birmingham offering top quality engraving. A selection of engraving styles are offered but in fact any style of engraving can be reproduced. Family crests can be ‘surface engraved’ on items such as wine coasters or cuff-links, and ‘seal engraving’, deep and in reverse can be carried out on signet rings. We recommend a local business ‘Shoe Box’ for machine engraving on trophies and similar items.

Re-Threading
We send pearl, bead and gemstone re-threading to experienced and long established threaders in Brighton, able to carry out very fine quality and complicated work.

Special Commissions
We have at our disposal a number of craftsmen able to design and make jewellery to your own specification. Each has their own specific skills and style of work. Alternatively we are able to source a vast variety of ready made items and styles, including lots of items that many multiple retailers do not have knowledge of, or access to. We do business with a number of international gem dealers and are able to source rare and unusual gemstones.

Part-Exchange
We are always interested in helping you to part-exchange and upgrade your old jewellery or watch for new items, regardless of condition. In addition we buy scrap gold, silver and platinum.

Second-hand and Antique
Whilst we do not usually buy second-hand jewellery outside of part-exchange or scrap, we do have long established contacts within the jewellery trade and in many instances are able to obtain an offer for you. Similarly we are frequently able to obtain specific items of second-hand and antique jewellery and have long established contacts within the second-hand watch trade.

Insurance Claims
Many insurance companies expect you to deal with their own recommended suppliers for insurance replacements and repairs. In most cases you are not obliged to do so and you may continue to do business with your local independent jeweller. We are able to deal with most insurance companies and loss adjusters, including LMG, on your behalf.

Corporate and Presentation Business
Whilst there are many businesses specifically supplying items in quantity for presentation or corporate gifts, these may not be suitable on all occasions. We are able to offer many ideas for gifts suitable for presentations, awards, retirements, incentives and very able to deal with the whole process. Of course we are always delighted to negotiate a very best price for you.

Wedding Gifts
We are very conscious that some weddings now bring about the joining of two households where many wedding gifts are not required to start a home. In this instance we are to arrange the purchase of a special single item such as, for example, a long-case clock or a canteen of silver cutlery and then receive donations from your wedding guests towards the item.

Gift Vouchers
Don’t know what to buy? We can always supply a gift voucher in the form of a letter and card, for any amount you wish.

Gem Testing…………….and other information
We are always delighted to help you with any information you might require. This might include gem testing, metal testing, information about hallmarks, enquiries about specific gemstones, details about diamonds and the ‘four Cs’, requests for unusual items you can’t find elsewhere.
